Military Marksmanship Association

The Military Marksmanship Association was established in 1994 as the Army Marksmanship Unit Association (AMUA) to celebrate present and past members of the U. S. Army Marksmanship Unit (USAMU) “Home of Champions”. The Military Marksmanship Association is a private nonprofit association and is not affiliated with or funded by the Department of the Defense or the Department of the Army.

Since 1956, Army competitive shooters, gunsmiths, and support personnel assigned to the US Army Marksmanship Unit (USAMU) have been have been responsible for winning hundreds of individual and team National Championship titles, more than 40 World Championships, and 20 Olympic medals. Such accomplishments are why the US Army Marksmanship Unit is called the “Home of Champions.”

The objectives of the MMA are:

-To provide a link to the history of the USAMU
-To conduct membership meetings
-To help with USAMU Reunions, USAMU Organization Days and USAMU Balls.
